Baby Update

Here's a new belly photo for y'all. We had a doctor's appointment this morning (17 week check-up), and everything is looking great! We didn't get an ultrasound, which I was really pulling for, but we did get to hear the baby's heartbeat--the most exciting sound I've ever heard! I haven't been able to feel the baby move yet, but my RN said that this baby is a mover and shaker! The appointment was a quick one, but there is nothing more reassuring at this stage than hearing from medical professionals that I'm doing one heck of a job growing my baby. Hooray!

Whoo-hoo! You're looking great! Maybe an ultrasound in a few more weeks? I usually get mine at 20 weeks- so 4 more weeks to go for me, hope you are feeling well!

Awesome! It's always reassuring to hear that little heartbeat. Don't worry about feeling the baby move, once you start feeling it, it hardly stops! :]

Cute baby bump! Mine is bigger, which is awkward since I am not actually carrying my child...this adoption thing is stressful, but chocolate sure helps (as evidenced by my growing 'baby bump').

That moment of first hearing the heartbeat kind of felt like i was being struck by lightning. I nearly thought i was making the whole thing up until then.

I’ve just watched the opening so far…but I think if I watch it 5 more times and take detailed notes I’ll be a great assistant
